A few simple ways to care for your pieces and make them part of your space.
Cleansing
New crystals carry energy from everywhere they've been before you. Cleanse yours before first use, and every so often after — running it under cool water, setting it in indirect sunlight for an hour, or resting it near burning palo santo or sage all work.
Charging
Moonlight is the easiest way to recharge a crystal. Leave it on a windowsill overnight during a full moon, or simply set it somewhere it catches natural light during the day.
Care
Keep crystals out of direct, prolonged sun if color matters to you — some stones fade over time. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water on porous or fragile stones (selenite, calcite, and similar).
Placement
Where you put a crystal matters as much as which one you choose. A piece on your desk works differently than one on a nightstand or living room shelf — let the space guide the placement, not just the stone.
